The right candidate will have experience in the legal industry, specifically experience handling settlements for personal injury cases. Bilingual skills required.

The settlement coordinator handles the final stages of a case, focusing on resolving the financial aspects of a settlement. Their responsibilities include managing medical bills, negotiating reductions with medical providers, ensuring proper payments, and preparing settlement checks for clients. They also handle communication with clients, attorneys, and insurance adjusters.

Key Responsibilities of a Settlement Coordinator:

Managing Financial Transactions: verify case-related amounts and fees, ensuring accurate accounting of funds.
Medical Bill Negotiation: work with medical providers to negotiate reductions in medical bills.
Lien and Subrogation Management: identify and resolve lien interests and subrogation interests, ensuring all parties are paid.
Client Communication: communicate with clients regarding the status of their case and the settlement process.
Payment Coordination: ensure timely payments to clients, medical providers, and other parties.
Follow-up and Correspondence: handle follow-ups and correspondence related to the settlement, including with insurance adjusters, for timely resolutions

Requirements:

Bilingual spanish-skills required
Proven experience in legal support or settlement coordination preferred.
Strong understanding of legal terminology and settlement processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
High level of professionalism and a client-focused mindset.
Associate degree in legal studies or related field is a plus.
